Hola, voleu aprendre anglès amb mí?
Jo us puc ajudar!
Jo us he marcat en negreta algunes paraules i us posaré a sota una breu explicació en català, castellà i anglès.
Apa, què bagi bé!
Títol de l'episodi:
A friend for the Oak.
- [Laughs] ………..
- Maya: Hey, are you ok Max?
- Flip: Hey, it’s raining acorns. That’s strange, it’s not autumn. (acorns són glans, en castellà bellotas)
- Max: Oh boy! I am not staying here, come with me! I want to show you something!
- Max: See, no moss, no fungi. It’s as if they’ve almost been eaten up.
- Willy: There’s something there!
- Max: The smell is really strong! What is it?
- Flip: It’s called a truffle. It’s a kind of fungus.
- Ben: There are usually lots here.
- Flip: There would be, we are underneath an oak tree. Truffles have little filaments which help the old trees eat and drink, but if there’s none left the tree will get sick.
- Maya: Hey, is that why it’s raining acorns outside. Please don’t look too eager. Ah, poor thing!
- Maya: What if we put some truffles back in here?
- Flip: Yes, good idea, that could work!
- Flip: Truffles can grow again as long as whoever has been eating them doesn’t come back.
- All: Ahhhhhh! Run!
- Maya: Hey, I recognize her…..That’s Molly!
- Maya: Hello Molly.
- Polly: Nooo, not Molly, I am Polly, Molly is my sister. Oh! Nice, there is a truffle left,I thought I’d eaten them all!
- Maya: Stop that’s the last one. We are going to plant some more to make the oak tree…. better.
- Polly: Great! Molly and I, we love these and speaking of Molly she’s coming over and she loves truffles even more than I do.
- Maya: I may have another idea.
- Polly: Acorns, Molly and me we prefer roots or truffles. Well, it’s better than nothing! While we’re waiting for you to plant some more, we can eat these. We have quite an appetite you know!
- Maya: Ah! She doesn’t like acorns that much so if we find her some place with something nice to eat I am sure that Polly would agree to move into a new house and then all we will need to do is replant the truffles.
- Willy: If we can find any.
- Maya: Look, another oak tree. There’s going to be tons of truffles underneath it.
- Barry: Hi buddies, want to play a game eh? What do you think, stinging fly! Mushroom hide and seek!
- Maya: Not now, Barry. We are looking for some truffles to save a tree.
- Barry: Oh, I am really good at finding truffles. No joke, we flies have an amazing sense of smell.
- Maya: Do you know what a truffle is?
- Barry: Maya, Willy, check it out! I found it, black and very strong smelling!
- Maya: But truffles grow underground.
- Maya: That’s Ben paw!
- Ben: Hey, my ball, Stop! I want to grow up with my beautiful ball, stop.
- Barry: It’s under control.
- Ben: My ball, here you are my precious little dung ball!
- Maya: Barry, are you ok? I hope you didn’t hurt your wing!
- Barry: Wait!! There’s a truffle here!
- Willy: Are you sure this time?
- Barry: Positive. I recognize the smell! You can trust me you know! I’m Barry the expert.
- Ben: The disaster expert!
- Maya: I believe you, stay right there. I‘ll go and get Max, he’ll be able to dig a hole.
- Max: There’s a bunch of tunnels under there. You were right Barry. They are full of truffles.
- Maya: Do you think you can dig one out Max.
- Max: Of course, I can dig up three or four if you like!
- Max: This oak won’t miss them.
- All: Wow!
- Willy: Maya, Maya, don’t go too far you’ll get lost. What are you doing?
- Maya: We’re going to have to find Polly and Molly something to eat if we want them to move to a new house.
- Maya: Look, have you seen all these!
- Maya: Come and help me. Polly will never believe us if we do not show her! It’s too big for us. Come on Willy, we have to find a way to get her to come here. Without seeing the truffles.
- Maya: Do like I do, Willy.
- Willy: Hey, that looks fun!
- Polly: Hey, these are much better than acorns! Need more!
Carrots and radishes, I don’t just like those, I love them! And there is nothing left to eat over there anyway! Except acorns, I gotta tell Molly. We’re going to have a feast and what a feast!
- Maya: All done! This way Polly and Molly won’t eat all the other trees’ truffles.
- Barry: We collected five truffles. We have to replant them now.
- Willy: How are we going to do that?
- Max: We‘ll get squashed if we go over there.
- Maya: Maybe not.
- Willy: Maya we could get knocked on the noggin?
- Maya: You want an oak tree to get well. Don’t you!
- Maya: We did it Willy. We are going to save the oldest tree in the meadow.
- Molly: Mmmm I thought something smelt good around here.
- Maya: Stop! not the truffles! Hey, your hair, you are Molly, Polly’s twin sister. I’m sorry Molly, but it took a lot of work to get those truffles there, and besides, Polly is waiting for you with tons of carrots and radishes.
- Molly: Ohhhh, that’s gonna be so good! That is if Polly doesn’t eat it all first!
- Max: There.
- Maya: Now we just have to cross our antennae and hope that our truffles grow.
[…] I think that our tree is going to recover!
- Willy: Hey, now that we have put the tree right, it’s time for a little bee bite!
